Description
On the Island of St. Maarten the airport is next to Maho Beach. So when planes land, they come very close to the beach and if you're in the right place at the right time, you can get blown over from the engine blast! How great is that!?
This part of my "Take me to Paradise" series- note the text on the side of the plane.

Great painting Cindy.I did see videos and I believe it was from very same place and it was great to see these huge airplane bodies flying few yards above the water and the beach...I got here from your remark to add pirate to Dans painting...had to look if you like pirates or at least islands and beaches.
Cindy D Chinn replied:
I was there in Nov. just after the hurricane and there was NO sand on the beach anymore! Just rocks. Sand is weird that way... comes and goes. There wasn't any sand on Cupecoy either, then a couple of weeks later, it all came back.

Wow, I think that's my first "Recommending" Thank you Chrissann! AND for all of your wonderful comments on the other paintings as well! I'm having a lot of fun with this series, though I might be really tired of St. Maarten beaches when get 20+ of them finished! :) Might have to go back to underwater scenes... or bugs for awhile! I appreciate your comments also, Theresa!!! BTW, I love your work too

Stunning detail! An excellent piece. I've seen videos of this airport on youtube. Don't know that I would want to vacation on that beach.
